With Maple, Bacon & Beer in your sauce - do you really need to put it on anything? This is a fantastic sauce for chicken and ribs; full of flavour it brings the summer party to your table.
8 slices bacon, diced
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 whole jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
1 small onion diced
1 honey brown lager
½ cup Maple Syrup
¼ cup orange marmalade
1 ½ cups ketchup
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp mustard powder
2 tbsp hot sauce
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt to taste
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, fry diced bacon until half cooked. Add garlic, onion and jalapeno peppers. Continue to fry, stirring until onions are tender and golden brown.
Pour beer into pan, stirring to loosen the flavourful bits on the bottom. Bring mixture to a rolling boil.
Reduce heat to medium low and continue to boil the beer mixture until it is reduced by half.
Add the maple syrup, orange marmalade, ketchup, cayenne pepper, mustard, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke.
Return mixture to a boil; reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally for 15 minutes. Season with salt to taste.
The BBQ Pit Boys show you how to barbecue up two tender and juicy 4lb. chickens on the grill, Beer Can Chicken Style. And, it's real easy to do. All you need for this barbecue chicken recipe favorite is two cans of beer (or water if you must), salad oil dressing, 1 onion, salt, pepper, and any favorite basting sauce, such as our garlic butter with soy sauce. Fire up your grill to 325-350f, and in as little as 2 hours you will be dancing right along with the roasters, as their tender and juicy meat falls off the bones.
Watch Grandma Fancy make her Molasses Beer BBQ Sauce with a little help from Crosby's Fancy Molasses.
Ingredients:
½ cup Crosby's Fancy Molasses
¼ cup Dijon mustard
½ cup chilli sauce
1 tsp. Worstershire sauce
½ cup minced onion
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. pepper
½ cup beer
Directions:
Combine in a saucepan, bring to a boil and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Brush bbq sauce on grillables during the last few minutes of grilling. If you brush it on too early the sauce will burn before your meat is cooked through.
Imagine one of those amusement park water rides—the ones where you float down a "river" atop one of those large rubber doughnuts, with five other people, snaking under waterfalls and through "rapids." Now imagine you're all facing a flaming grill instead of holding on to safety rails.
This completely insane rig from Germany—called the BBQ Donut—brings that imagined scenario to life.
The BBQ Donut is customizable, with accessories like a sound system, a "chill out" pad that replaces the grill center of the float with a sunbathing platform, and an umbrella attachment.
Don't worry, you won't float rudderless. Looks like there's a small outboard electric motor to keep you on course to Leisure Island.
I did not like this beer. My initial smell was of sausage with syrup. The pink bottle is cute, but I did not like this beer.
